Design and EngineeringThe Design and Engineering Team is looking for people who possess strong analytical, problem-solving and team skills. These jobs call for people who are self-directed with excellent planning and organizational skills. Educational background includes a degree in design or mechanical engineering with design relevant automotive, metal industry or manufacturing experience. FinanceThe Finance Team is looking for people who possess strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills and team skills. The jobs that are available encompass all aspects of finance from clerical to cost accounting. Finance team members are integral parts of each plant facility providing support and analysis services. Finance team members can expect to be challenged in providing the following types of services including the development of budgets and forecasts, investor relations, cost analysis, treasury management, pricing, and accounts payable and receivable. Educational background includes a minimum CGA Level 3 for entry level opportunities through to completion of CGA or equivalent Bachelor's Degree or CMA/CA with full-time work experience in finance leadership positions. Human ResourcesThe Human Resources Team is looking for people who possess high level interpersonal skills, facilitation and communication skills, problem-solving skills and communication skills. A thorough knowledge of applicable Human Resource & safety legislation is required. Human Resource team members' job responsibilities require general HR skills and knowledge in labour relations, recruiting, training and development, organizational effectiveness, compensation, pensions and benefits, and safety. Educational background includes a CHRP, equivalent degree/diploma or a training-related curriculum with full-time work experience. Information SystemsThe Information Systems Team is looking for dynamic people who possess a strong customer-service orientation along with high level analytical and problem-solving skills. IS team members are integral parts of each facility providing support, expertise and advice to all departments and plants throughout the organization. IS team members may act as a project leader in an area of expertise. This high performance IS team is looking for team members who are organized and can work effectively towards team and organizational goals. Educational background includes programmer analyst/systems analyst diploma or a degree with full-time work experience. Manufacturing, Plant, and Project EngineeringThe Engineering Team is looking for people who possess strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills and team skills. The jobs that are available encompass all aspects of engineering from project management to troubleshooting. Engineering team members are integral parts of each plant facility providing support, expertise and advice to all departments throughout the organization. Engineering team members may act as project leaders and may lead various cross-functional teams. Educational background includes electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a degree in a similar technical field, as well as, related diplomas such as mechanical engineering technologist with full-time work experience. Manufacturing/OperationsThe Manufacturing Team is looking for people who possess highly effective interpersonal, analytical and team skills. The jobs that are available encompass all aspects of manufacturing including production, maintenance trades, process, and leadership in casting and machining operations. Manufacturing team members are an integral part of the organization striving to continuously improve and meet safety, quality and productivity goals and objectives. To qualify for manufacturing positions in the foundry or machining facilities, the candidates must possess basic literacy and numerical skills (e.g.. Grade 10 level of reading/writing/math). Provincial Trade certification is required for industrial maintenance millwright and industrial electrician positions. The engineering technicians and technologists positions require a diploma or degree in a similar technical field and all positions require full-time work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. QualityThe Quality Team is looking for dynamic people who possess a strong customer-service orientation along with high level analytical and problem-solving skills. Quality team members are integral parts of each facility providing support, expertise and advice to all departments and plants throughout the organization. This high performance Quality team is looking for team members who are highly organized and who enjoy rolling up their sleeves to help team members with quality initiatives and improvements. Educational background includes a diploma/degree with a focus on quality, statistics and lean manufacturing with full-time work experience. SalesThe Sales Team works together and with our customers to build long-lasting and positive relationships. The Sales Team is looking for dynamic people who possess a strong customer service orientation along with high level analytical, problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills, and desire to travel. Educational background includes sales/ marketing degree and/or related degree. Materials and ProcurementThe Materials and Procurement team work closely with Manufacturing and Customer Base, to ensure that all of Wescast's requirements are being fulfilled and to develop long lasting healthy supplier and customer relationships that help Wescast remain a World Class Supplier. The Materials and Procurement team is looking for people who possess excellent communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and problem solving skills, computer skills and are educated in Materials and Procurement. It is recommended that Material and Procurement individuals are members of CPP and/or CPIM. |
