Co-op & Student Opportunities

Wescast believes that our success depends upon attracting and retaining the best people for every task. We believe that our future success depends, in part, on attracting the best students. In order to attract the best students, we understand that there must be an opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience in an environment that stimulates creativity, problem-solving and the development of interpersonal, team and leadership skills.

The Co-op Programs are designed to give students challenging and developmental career opportunities as well as provide Wescast with talented candidates to be considered for future opportunities. Co-op students gain valuable professional experience, in-depth work experience applying the concepts learned throughout their university or college program, as well as develop team, interpersonal and leadership skills.

In addition, Wescast employs students in production capacities each year. Students gain valuable experience in team work, production and manufacturing as well as develop team, interpersonal and leadership skills. Students must be a minimum of 16 years old, self motivated with a positive attitude, have a good attendance record and must be safety conscious.
